Why We're Team MoonIt started with a porch, a quiet moment, and the promise of new beginnings. When Kate began reimagining her life, she discovered something magical: dreams feel less overwhelming when you take them one month at a time. She found herself drawn to the rhythm of the lunar cycle, stepping out onto her porch each new moon to reflect on what she hoped for in the weeks ahead. Then Chris walked into her life. They took things slow, savoring the early days and protecting this tender new thing, especially when it came to introducing their children. But Kate's friends could see it written all over her face—that smile she couldn't hide when his name came up. They didn't even know his name yet, so they gave him one of their own: Mr. Moon. And somehow, it was perfect. It stuck. Now, as we blend our family, we each carry different last names—each one part of our individual stories. But together? Together we're something new. We're Team Moon: a family united not by paperwork, but by choice, by love, and by the belief that the best dreams unfold one month—one moon—at a time. Our house is about 5 minutes outside of Dallas Center, 15 minutes from Grimes/Adel and 25 minutes from West Des Moines/Jordan Creek or Johnston. Nope - we don't have one. We are simply excited to see you and have just combined stuff from two houses so we don't really need more plates and pillows! If you truly, truly want to do something know that we spend most of our time rotating between ordering kid activity items off of Prime and trips to Menards. OR even more special you could donate to the Joel Bruce Rydberg Memorial Scholarship Fund that was created in memory of Kate's late brother. Speech therapy opened up the world for Joel and the things he was able to accomplish in his lifetime.
